Caret Documentation
Run AI coding agents on your servers, connect over SSH, fix common problems, and read Caret's privacy and support policies.
Herdr — Caret Run and watch over several AI coding agents — Claude Code, Codex, Droid, GitHub Copilot CLI and more — on your own servers from Caret. Built on the open-source herdr multiplexer: see each agent’s live state, jump to whichever is blocked, and the agents keep running on the server when you leave.Port Forwarding — Caret Reach a database, dashboard or dev server that only listens on your remote machine — Caret tunnels a port through SSH. Set up local forwarding to use a remote service from your device, or a reverse forward to expose a local port on the server. Or run dynamic forwarding — a SOCKS proxy on your device that routes through the server. Nothing is opened to the public internet.Privacy Policy — Caret Caret has no backend of its own and collects no personal data. SSH credentials are kept in your device's secure storage and connections go directly to your own servers. Optional sync goes only to your own iCloud or Google Drive, end-to-end encrypted on Google Drive.Technical Support — Caret Help for Caret: connecting to your servers over SSH, fixing connection problems, cloud sync, purchases and restoring them, and how to contact us.Troubleshooting — Caret Fix common Caret problems: SSH connection failures, dropped connections, Docker permissions, the terminal display, empty monitoring charts, cloud sync, and restoring purchases.
